During the renovation of the German Archaeological Institute (DAI) in Rome, the historical structure was treated with great care to preserve its valuable materials. A large portion of the dismantled materials was processed and reused. The construction measures included the integration of a modern, user-friendly infrastructure and the implementation of current fire and earthquake protection regulations. At the same time, the building's original character was preserved. The institute now meets the requirements of international top-level research in the field of archaeology.
