This new building for the university hospital of Mannheim meets the highest standards of a modern, efficient pharmacy operation and ensures the flawless development, manufacturing, storage and dispensation of drugs. In this respect, it is especially important that the relevant rules and regulations are complied with and the smooth organisation of operations within the building is guaranteed.

Drugs must arrive at the patient’s bedside as soon as possible without detour while putting as little strain as possible on the time and effort of staff. For this purpose, both the delivery and logistics of drugs and their manufacture are arranged on the ground floor. This means that long transport routes within the pharmacy and vertical transport in the form of stairs, lifts etc. have been cut out completely.
