The building is structured into a three-storey, a two-storey and a single-storey unit whose short sides all face the main aspect. Therefore, this branch office has a horizontal, low-key appearance. Due to the natural tones used on the facade, it blends into the landscape of the Potsdam forest. On the ground floor, the “weather boulevard” connects all functions and creates a link to the area outside. The weather boulevard is the central communication hub of the building. This is where staff meet and where visitors learn about the different tasks of the German Meteorological Service.
