Responsibility

We at Wenzel + Wenzel take responsibility. For the architecture we are building, for our office routines, and for wherever we can have an impact.

"Openness and continuity in the face of constant change are the foundation of our corporate culture."
"So what is sustainability in the first place? Good question."
"Responsibility means allowing respectful debate to happen."
"If you really want something, there is always a way."

As a firm of architects, we are convinced that sustainability plays a central role in the way we design our built environment. We want to take responsibility for present and future generations and develop projects which are both ecologically and socially acceptable and guarantee long-term durability.

For us, responsibility means working on projects which improve people's quality of life, have a positive impact on the built environment and realise an inspiring vision for a sustainable future which is worth living. We are aware that this is a long process. For our office routines, we have already taken measures helping us to achieve our goals.

Wo wir etwas tun

  • What are our values?

  • Ecological

We regard responsibility as a basic principle of our work and integrate it into every project.
Building culture plays an important role in all of this. We see it is an integral part of our work, encompassing the design, aesthetics and sociocultural significance of our built environment.
Moreover, we regard building culture as an important part of the identity and heritage of a community. In this context, we are also aware of the responsible use of resources.

  • Economic

By cooperating with our partners, clients, experts and stakeholders, we translate this vision into practice. We are taking an active role in this process, developing innovative solutions, engaging in research and following tried and tested practices.
The integration of diversity and teamwork into our vision of responsibility enables us to pursue a holistic and inclusive approach.
By combining our strengths, including different perspectives and promoting respectful cooperation, we can improve the quality of our work, develop creative solutions and promote constant change in the built environment. Everyone will benefit from this.

  • People

We want to create a forward-looking building culture, combining responsibility, continuity, diversity, and teamwork. We want to develop inspiring and aesthetically pleasing projects which are ecologically and socially acceptable. We want to create a built environment which improves the well-being of the people and promotes a future worth living.

  • Measures

Economic, ecological and social responsibility are reflected in our office routines at all our locations and in our project work.
In order to take an active part in the transition of the construction industry, we also offer additional services in the area of sustainable construction.
Environmental, social and governance criteria (ESG) constitute the basis for concrete measures in our office routines and project work.

Our memberships in madaster, the global online platform for the circular use of products and materials in the construction industry, and in the German Society for Sustainable Building (DGNB) are a first step towards reaching these overriding goals.

Within Europe, we mainly travel by rail. The increasing share of company bikes and "Deutschlandtickets" (monthly ticket subscriptions for German regional public transport) and the organisation of climate-friendly events for our colleagues are already firmly established in the company.

  • The Team

We are not satisfied with the status quo. Instead, we optimise and develop ourselves and our services. In our team, we are developing a strategy to systematically realise our ambitions. Our team includes Stefan Gose, Evandelina Tagliavento, Marie Wenzel, Matias Wenzel, and Karolin Wisser. To contact us, please write to nachhaltig@w-w.de.
