Our competences include the re-design and long-term functional adaptation of old and listed buildings in order to bring them up to modern standards. When it comes to the renovation, rehabilitation, conversion and modernisation of historic architecture, we believe in respect for the listed status of the building and work with a great deal of love for materials and detail. In these cases, everything starts with a thorough, careful stock-taking.

Digitalising the wealth of information around a building project and making the application of the information more efficient saves time and costs. The cooperation between all stakeholders will become more reliable and transparent if all processes, from design to construction to utilisation of the building and the corresponding interfaces are mapped on to an integrated platform

The current project is always the most important one. In the beginning, when Sepp Wenzel launched his firm as a building expert in 1957, he did so with a passion for good architecture. Together with him, in 1992, his son Matias Wenzel started developing the company into an architectural firm with national and international projects. In 2007, Dominik Daß became a further partner.
In the following years, the firm systematically extended its portfolio by project types it had not previously worked on. In this way, it strengthened its position even further.
On January 1, 2019, Matias Wenzel and Dominik Daß extended the partnership to include Reinhold Blersch, Markus Brill, Michael Fischinger, Stefan Gose, Silke Hänßler, Christoph-Phillip Krinn, and Holger Weinbach.
All partners are also managing directors of Wenzel + Wenzel GmbH with Jeanine Polzin as the authorised signatory. This enables the firm to face up to the current challenges in the construction industry and to meet the requirements of digitalisation
Today, around 400 colleagues are working at 13 locations.
And everything is like it was at the beginning: Wenzel + Wenzel are passionate about outstanding buildings and making a contribution to building culture.
